Ifj. Gabor Ocskay Ice-Hockey Academy, Super mini age group

The event became hectic. Parents' meeting, 2-3 trainings a week, getting the gear...

We are floating...
However just like with other parents "child canes". If that's what he want we will do everything on support him.
But what is actually happening on the ice?
Marcell is taking everything very seriously. During his development he is COPYING!
Copying the older kids, copying the coaches, he never stops in experimenting how he can become better.
He is not getting on the ice to play. This is not a hobby for him. No! For him every task is a serious task during training.
In the beginning he fell a couph of times when he should have stopped. He was trying and trying, copying the techniques until he felt it how to do it.
Same want to how to ice skate backwards. He was doing the shift tasks (forwards of course) however while he was waiting in the queue he was practicing behind the others. He didn't stop, he wasn't just looking, he wasn't chatting, he was practicing until he could do it.
And by the time his time came to ice skate backwards I was so proud of him how well he could do it.

Maybe this determination what head coach Gyula Farago saw in him too, who invited Marcell to do extra lessons besides his very young age. All he asked from us to support Marcell in this as well. He said the best for Marcell was to be on the ice as much as porrible.
We obeyed.
I have to mention that being at uak as well we couldn't have done it without the help from my mother. Thank you for that!

Marcell's development and determination is endless! Mr. Gyula involvement has a big part in it as he is constantly watching him, teaching him, supporting him. He is not short with compliments when he deserves it and very strict and to the point when it's necemary. We as well looking forward for his comment about our son. We are severing his words.
It is such a good feeling! I love it so much when he compliments Marcell with a word, a short please...
"...child like this should be caught with a net, so rare!..."
"...for Marcell when he is on the ice everything is about ice-hockey..."
or simply:
"...very good!...", "...he's going to be a great player!..."
Is there anything better to moke a parent proud?

Ice-Hockey class

January, 30 - March, 30 2013

On the day of the sign up Marcell was super excited. During the day at the nensey he mentioned it a lot of times where he was going, the was in the middle group then. The afternoon arrived and finally we arrived to the ice rink.

After the useful information to the parents were announced they took the children to arsers their abilities in running and playful tanks.
Meanwhile  with DAD we had a look at what was happening on the ice. There was a training game at the time. He was unsure about ice-hockey because in his child our son was meant to became a football player, however what he saw on the ice really impressed him. We had never seen an ice-hockey game before. It was fantastic and very grabbing!

When they escorted the children back - I nice never forget it - Istvan Orgovany sat dawn next to us, he was the head coach at the time. We expected he would recommend to ering Marcell back in a year time as he is too young compared to the other children. He sat down and all he said that he really wanted as to sign Marcell up to the class.
So we did.

The first time became very memorable too. There were approximately 50 children, too many!
They were separating those who could ice skate at some level and in a separate group those who hadn't leant it yet. The latter group was arrigned to Ms. Judit.
Marcell was very confident on the ice and while being a worrying parent I was trying to shepherd him towards Ms. Judit he was heading to the big group with the older children. Ms. Judit noticed my norries and was trying to reassure we not to worry.
The coaches would see he didn't know hot to ice skate and they would send him back. They did send back some kids. Not my son though...
I nouder what had they seen in him?
I don't know. Maybe that huge determination!

We had attended every training regularly, Marcell's development was spectacular.

It happened maybe once he couldn't get out of bed so earily and he said let's not go today. But I didn't compromise!
"- If we mirs the training today then we won't go back. You choose, baby."
Obviously he chore the training and he forgot it immediately he didn't want to go a moment earlier.
Maybe I seem too strict, at the end of the day on missed training is not a big deal. Right?
But not in our family!
He had to learn if he started something he had to continue it and that's that! No excuses. Luckily he got used to that in other parts of his life too. (of course when he is ill that is different, however luckily it is not too common with him.)
Before you think I am too cruel I would like to add! We are aware of whatever happens he is going to play ice-hockey as long as HE want to. And the whole family agrees on it! (Even how while I am writing this lutry and my 5,5 years old son shows real talent)

During the 2/3 of the training we realized this was a showcase.
That showed we hadn't been prepared in the subject.
I didn't expect that they would choose my son to a team as he couldn't do ice skating as well as the others, and in the whole team he was the suidlest and the youngest.
However coach Gyula Farago saw something in my son...
And because I didn't expect it was a great surprise when they did choose him. I admit I become emotional and cried.

The end result:
Since 30th March 2013 Marcell Buki became an official member of the SAPA Fehervar AV19 Super mini team being on of the youngest ever member (they only mentioned it however I don't think they researched it).
I would like to add he wasn't 5 years old at this time!
